ANNOUNCEMENT, from Spoons Management March 21/2011
Dear All,
I am extremely pleased to announce that the Official release date for the new Spoons Album " Static In Transmission" on Fontana North/Universal Music Canada, is Tuesday March 29th ! It may seem that it has taken along time in coming but the Music Industry is a very different place these days and with out a huge amount of dedicated effort from Gord, Sandy and Jeff Carter this project may not have happened ! The Band have made an incredible album and there is significant amount of early "buzz" about Static in the Market place, and we are extremely confident that everyone will enjoy all the new tracks.
Please keep checking back on the Website and various Social Media channels in order to keep updated on the upcoming Canada wide tour dates, kicking off with a big CD release show in Toronto! During April you will start to hear some of your favourite tracks on radio as there is a major Radio and Marketing campaign about to kick off ! The band deserve to be recognized for their great legacy but more importantly we want the new music to reach old and new fans alike !
In the next few days you will be able to pre-order "Static" at MapleMusic.com plus there will be 2 new t-shirt designs available in the next few weeks , and the Spoons back catalogue of course ! The album will also be available in store Canada wide on the 29th. Itunes will be up shortly both in Canada and I am pleased to say after much negotiation internationally as well !
The band and I would like to personally thank Darrin Cappe for all his hard work and dedication to the Spoons, especially online. We would also like to thank Matt Smallwood and Bryan Columbus at Maple Music/ Fontana North for all their assistance on this project ! Most importantly we want to thank all the Fans of the Spoons, who without their continued support there would be no desire to produce and create great new music.
Looking forward to seeing everyone out on tour this Spring. Its an all new album, a new show and there will sure to be a few surprises on the way !

Gord and Sandy have unearthed some old demos including Tell No Lies, Romantic Traffic and the original Nova Heart Demo from 1981 which will be incorporated into the 30th Anniversary Edition of Arias & Symphonies. More to follow....In the meantime check out a clip of audio from the Nova Heart Demo

Spoons "Static In Transmission" CD release party will be held on June 1 at the REVIVAL 783 College Street in Toronto. Tickets are $25 in advance plus there will be a special VIP ticket, with meet and Greet, Vip lounge access, Autographed CD + new Spoons tshirt for $70. The Show will be all ages, with 19+ wearing wristbands for a drink ! Tickets are available via TicketBreak online.

IT IS OFFICIAL - the first new Spoons album in 21 years is officially released today. Static In Transmission can be purchesed at various HMV and Sunrise Records locations as well as online via Maple Music. Today has been officially declared "Static In Transmission Day". Enjoy! Secret Pages coming shortly.

On Sunday April 3rd at 3:00PM in a secret location in Etobicoke, Ontario, Spoons will be shooting some footage for the You Light Up Video. The first 50 people who email me (Darrin) with your name as it appears on your ID will be invited to participate and as a special treat the band will also play some of the new album live after the shoot. This is a very special opportunity for fans. One person per email (no children under 10). Add "You Light Up Contest" to the subject line.

You can try to pick up tickets if any are still available at Ticketmaster, Rotate This, Soundscapes or the Horseshoe itself for $20 or $25 at the door.
